Report of the 4th Meeting of the Bambridge Family Association – Saturday, September 7

On Saturday, September 7, the Bambridge Family Association gathered for the fourth time to review the organization of the 2025 reunion. Many topics were discussed, including the progress of our partnership with the Papeete City Hall, a valuable support that will help us bring this much-anticipated event to life.

We also discussed in detail the accommodations that will be offered to our foreign cousins, with particular attention to the amenities that will ensure a comfortable stay. The work accomplished so far is impressive, and we are grateful to all those who are actively involved in this organization.

A particularly joyful moment of this meeting was the presentation by the genealogy committee. Through extensive research, the committee successfully traced certain branches of the descendants of Thomas and Maraea, allowing us to reconnect with several distant cousins. This research is a true advancement for our association, as it helps to strengthen family bonds and uncover forgotten roots. The committee is now working to reach out to these cousins and invite them to join our grand 2025 reunion.

We are also delighted to welcome a new member to the genealogy committee: our cousin, Turere Bambridge. Turere has been actively involved in the association’s activities for a long time, and her passion and commitment will undoubtedly be a great asset to the committee.

Additionally, preparations for the luncheon at Captain Bligh were discussed in detail. With all seats already reserved, the table arrangement has been planned to ensure the smooth running of the event. This logistical challenge demonstrates everyone’s enthusiasm and strengthens our excitement.

The collection of gifts for the surprise envelopes, which will be offered during the luncheon, is ongoing. Our volunteers are actively seeking the support of sponsors and charitable individuals who share and support the values and mission our association strives to preserve.

Further information regarding this grand luncheon will soon be shared with all feti’i on our Facebook group. We encourage you all to stay tuned and participate in large numbers to make this event an unforgettable moment for everyone.

Thank you all for your dedication and unwavering support!
