Introduction to the Bambridge Family Reunion Tahiti 2025

We are delighted to announce the ninth edition of the Bambridge Family Reunion, which will take place in Tahiti from September 14 to September 21, 2025. This event will be an opportunity to celebrate our roots, strengthen our bonds, and pay tribute to our ancestors.

The program includes a warm welcome at the Royal Tahitien, cultural visits to Papeete, genealogical conferences, and workshops for children and teenagers. The week will conclude with a festive evening at the Royal Tahitien, an excursion to Moorea, and a tour of the island of Tahiti.

We invite you to join us in celebrating our shared heritage and creating unforgettable memories. We look forward to seeing you in Tahiti in September 2025.

Bambridge Family Reunion Tahiti 2025 Program: From Sunday, September 14 to Sunday, September 21, 2025

Sunday, September 14th, 2025: WELCOME OF DELEGATIONS

  • START TIME: 7:00 AM
  • LOCATION: ROYAL TAHITIEN
  • PROGRAM:
    • Welcome of foreign delegations,
    • Registration,
    • Distribution of kits (T-shirt, bracelet, program, goodies, etc.)
    • Speeches
    • Presentation of family branches
    • Ecumenical program: Singing – Prayers
    • Brunch with performance
    • AFTERNOON FREE

Monday, September 15th, 2025: TOUR OF PAPEETE

  • 9:00 AM   City tour for foreign delegations. Meet at the Assembly of French Polynesia in front of the Pouvana’a a Oopa stele for a guided tour of the hemicycle and the Queen’s Basin.
    • 9:30 AM – Guided tour of the Assembly of Polynesia and visit to the Queen’s Basin.
    • 10:30 AM – Return to Papeete Town Hall via the Papeete Market and Rue du 22 Septembre 1914, formerly Rue des Beaux-Arts (birthplace of the Bambridge family).
  • 11:00 AM Gathering of delegations at Papeete Town Hall
    • Opening of the Bambridge family photo exhibition
    • Opening cocktail hosted by Mr. Michel Buillard, Mayor of Papeete
  • From 1:00 PM – Collection of participation kits at the shop located under the Fare Pote’e of the Town Hall.
  • 1:30 PM – Beginning of genealogy meetings (Town Hall of Papeete).

    • Testimonies
    • Interventions: delegations, children, teenagers…
    • Vote to designate the host country of the next meeting
  • 12:00 PM Departure by bus of the foreign delegations for the reception at Faa’a Town Hall, hosted by Mr. Oscar Temaru.
  • 3:00 PM Return by bus to Papeete Town Hall.
  • From 6:00 PM at the ROYAL TAHITIEN:
    • CLOSING EVENING: Performances, buffet, musical entertainment

Saturday, September 20th, 2025: DAY IN MOOREA

  • Ferry Dock (Quai des Ferry): 6:30 AM

  • Excursion and ma’a Tahiti on the motu
  • Return: 6:15 PM
  • Aorai Tini Hau: 7:00 PM

Sunday, September 21st, 2025: ISLAND TOUR (via the Est Coast)

  • DEPARTURE: 8:30 AM from Aorai Tinihau
    • 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Venus Point (Pointe Vénus) – Welcoming by Mayors Damas Teuira of Māhina and Henry Flohr of Hitia‘a o te Ra
    • 11:00 AM – 11:45 AM: Teahupoʻo – Hosted by Hélène Maitere
    • 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM: Lunch (Tehoro Point)
